Variable Linear Blur – Linear Mask
This filter lets you apply linear motion blur selectively across the image using a directional mask. Ideal for side-focused blur, depth-of-field emulation, or animated transitions that sweep effects across the frame.

| Blur Type | "Constant" simulates true motion blur; "Soft" creates a gentler blur. One-Way options add directional energy. |
| Size | Blur intensity from -4.0 to 4.0. Negative values invert the direction. |
| Area | Defines the width of the blur region. 0.0 = none, 1.0 = full image. Animate for traveling effects. |
| Direction | Rotational blur angle. 1.0 equals 360°. Animate up to 100.0 for swirl or rotation effects. |
| Side | Blur origin point: 0.0 = left, 0.25 = top, 0.5 = right, 0.75 = bottom. Animate for shifting blur source. |
| Distribution | Controls softness of the blur edge. Higher values smooth transitions more gently. |
