Variable Cross Blur – Linear Mask
This filter lets you selectively apply cross blur to specific areas of the image using a linear mask. Useful for side-focused blur, gradual transitions, or animated effects that wash across the frame.
| Parameters: | |
| Blur Type | "Constant" for bold artistic blur, "Soft" for subtle accents. |
| Blend | Controls the combination of horizontal/vertical blur channels. |
| Size | Sets blur intensity. Values from 0.0–4.0 allowed. |
| Area | Defines the mask’s width. 0.0 = none, 1.0 = entire image. Animate to sweep the effect. |
| Direction | Rotates blur orientation. 1.0 = full circle; values up to 100.0 for looping motion. |
| Side | Sets mask origin point: 0.0 = left, 0.25 = top, 0.5 = right, 0.75 = bottom. Animate to shift blur source. |
| Distribution | Softens mask boundaries. Higher values produce smoother transitions. |
