Variable Gaussian – Radial Mask
The radial mask lets you shape blur intensity around a center point. You can keep your subject crisp while softening the outer edges of the frame—or invert the effect for unique spotlight or edge treatments.

Parameters: | |
Size | Overall blur strength. Values up to 4.0 increase blur, with minor quality trade-off. |
Round | Defines the shape of the mask: On = circular; Off = match frame aspect ratio. |
Distribution | Controls where blur is strongest: above 0.5 targets edges; below 0.5 targets center. |
Center X, Y | Positions the mask’s center. Animate to track moving subjects. |

Tracking blur with subject: Use keyframes on center coordinates to keep blur aligned with moving subjects.
